Into The Wild

For the past couple weeks MPC Youth has been working through a series called “Into the Wild.” It looks at the life of Abraham and how God called Him to pack up his belongings, leave everything he knew, and start walking into the wild until God said he had arrived (Genesis 12:1-4). It had to have been scary for Abraham to trust God, but he did it anyway. As Christians we can learn a lot from Abraham. Abraham had faith that God would provide for all his needs and would fulfill His promise to make Abraham the father of a great nation. Community Dinners Are Coming!

Beginning on June the 10th, MPC will be serving a community meal once-monthly. This meal is open to our entire church family, and to anyone who wishes to attend. This meal has been made possible by your session, and due to the generous bequests of two members who have gone on to a great reward. I challenge all of you attend this dinner, as part of your commitment to the church and our community, and also as a celebration of our love of Christ and neighbor. Stressed Out

Currently MPCYouth is working through a series called “Stressed Out.” It is about the fact that everything in our lives causes us stress or has the potential to cause us stress. We have to decide to either get swept up in the stress of life or take a stand. What we are learning is that there is no way we can make a stand on our own. The only way we can make a stand is with God behind and before us giving stability, guidance, and peace. The three main habits we are trying to cultivate is, 1) Casting your cares on Him because He cares for you. 2) Trading your stress for his Strength. 3) Choosing joy now.
