Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.

1 Timothy 4:12

Looking for a place to belong?

MPCYouth is always working to create a space for ALL TEENS to feel like they have a place to BELONG

We devote our energy to three core values that help teens grow: FUN, FRIENDS, and FAITH.

In this fast-paced and high-pressure world we want to be an OPEN DOOR to a SAFE SPACE out of the storm..

With fun events, gatherings, groups, and trips we have intentionally built a space for FRIENDSHIPS to grow and begin.

Lastly, and most importantly our core motivation and inspiration is CHRIST. We strive to help teens develop their own personal faith and relationship with Jesus that will last a lifetime.

Weekly Programs

What: Sunday School

When: 9:30am-10:45am

Why: Sunday School is a time when we get together and dig into the Bible. MPCYouth makes the time about discussion and learning how to apply Biblical truth into our daily lives. We’ve got wonderful teachers too!

Who: We have a High School class and Middle School class that meet separately.

Where: All students and teachers start in the Sanctuary for the very beginning of church so students can learn about what is going on in the church and get to connect with others in the church family. Then students and teachers are dismissed after about 15 minutes to our classrooms.

How (Much): This is a free program for students.

What: Youth Group

When: Every Wednesday 6:30pm-8pm (Sept. - May)

Why: Youth Group is a time for students to come together and let the worries and stress of life be left at the door. We have created a space for all students to feel welcome and to connect with their friends in fun ways! We have pizza every week, we play high-energy games, and have some time to talk about the important things in life.

Who: All students 6th-12th grade are welcome.

Where: MPCYouth Room (Access via Franklin Street Youth Room Door)

How (Much): This is a free program for students.

What: Girls Small Group

Why: The Girl’s Small Group is an amazing opportunity for the young ladies of MPCYouth and the community to get together and talk about life, faith, school, family, and anything else that might be relevant to them. This group is a great opportunity for young ladies to create lasting friendships and meaningful relationships with the leaders.

Who: All female students are welcome to join grade 6th-12th.

Where: The Girl’s Small Group is hosted at the Orr’s House.  Please e-mail Laura Kalemkarian or Pam Orr with questions or for the Orr's address.

What: Student Leadership

When: TBD

Why: The student leadership program is all about the student taking ownership for THIER youth ministry. Because the youth ministry really does belong to them. The leadership programs allow students to share their ideas, be challenged to grow as disciples of Jesus, and to use their unique gifts in the ministry.

Where: In the Youth Room.

How (Much): This is a free program for students.

What: Confirmation Class

When: Beginning February 16th, Confirmation Class happens after the 11 o’clock service, which means we’ll be starting around 12:15. The class goes until 1:30. Lunch is provided.

Why: Confirmation is a wonderful opportunity for students to join a cohort of peers as they learn what it means to be a member of a church community, part of the Presbyterian Church USA, but most importantly disciples of Jesus Christ.

Who: This class is open to any high schooler 9th-12th grade.

Where: The class happens in the youth room.

So you want to volunteer with teenagers, huh? Some people might think you’re crazy... but we know better. Middle schoolers and high schoolers are awesome. They’re hilarious (sometimes on purpose). They’re dramatic. They’re complicated. And they’re a ton of fun.

But most importantly, middle schoolers and high schoolers are at a stage in their lives when they desperately need someone like you to hang out with them, love them (and like them too), and show them what it looks like to follow Jesus.

Below are the various ways you could serve as an influential leader.
