FAITH & FILM CLUB
Looking for a small group to join? Are you a movie watcher, either casually or a real film buff? Do you like discussing what you like or dislike about a film as well as deeper meaning, themes and faith applications? In the Faith and Film Club, we assign and discuss movies much like a book club does books.
Our next meeting is Thursday, June 9th at 7:00 pm in Room 103 and via Zoom where we will be discussing “Silence,” a 2016 film directed by Martin Scorsese starring Andrew Garfield and Adam Driver as Portuguese Jesuit priests who travel to Japan in 1633, during a time when Christianity is strictly forbidden there. The young missionaries search for their missing teacher while preaching their faith in a hostile territory.
