Missions

Do you feel led to get involved?

Do you feel led to get involved? Do you have a gift? We’ll take it. Tell us what your talent is, and we’ll figure out how to use it.

We have the wonderful problem of having people who want to help, but not having enough opportunities! In response, we are putting together a database of people’s gifts and talents so that we can match people’s gifts and talents with the needs that have been identified.

Do you like to organize? We can use you!

Do you like to cook or clean? We can use you!

2011 Alternative Gifts brochure

Media Presbyterian Church’s Alternative Giving Program leverages the impact of small financial donations to allow  people to share the joy of making a difference in the lives of the less fortunate by meeting their practical and tangible needs. Since 2007, we have raised over $30,000 - primarily through donations of $5 -$50 from people of all ages.

People have embraced our program as a way to give lasting gifts to people who don’t want any more stuff and to those who will appreciate a gift that improves living conditions for neighbors around the world.

Prudence is a great remedy for panic and it’s a virtue that needs to make a comeback in our country.

Looking back over the past 9 years that we have been members of MPC, I am not sure what I was waiting for........ I would always ask myself.....
