Introduction

Now in its third year, this little devotional booklet has become a Media Presbyterian ”tradition” and a true blessing as we seek to enrich our experience of Lent. Reading the Scriptures and personal reflections by members of our congregation, we have an opportunity to discover new meaning for each day, helping us prepare to celebrate our rebirth to the resurrected life of Christ.

Lord, we are tired spiritual wanderers.  Help us to accept the full truth of Your Gospel message: that rest comes through accepting the Gospel of Jesus Christ through faith.  Teach us to work for Your accomplishments, not our own.

DAY 34

Saturday, March 23, 2013

Submitted by Steve Buxton, Elder

Prayer:

My Father and my God, I am too often beset by worry.  You told us  specifically not to worry.  You reminded us that all of nature is under Your control.  If You show such care for flowers, trees, birds, and the animal kingdom; how much more will You care for us.  Please give my soul peace, quicken my spirit to focus on You and Your love for me, and away from whatever troubles me.
