High School and Middle School Praise Teams

One would be hard-pressed to find a teen that does not love or appreciate at least some form of music.  Because music and young people are a large part of our corporate worship here at Media Presbyterian Church, we believe it is important to be encouraging and to provide training and ministry opportunities for the musicians among our youth.  Both middle school and high school musicians have the opportunity to help lead corporate worship once a month, as well as to participate in special services such as the annual Christmas concert, Christmas Eve Family Service, Easter Vigil, Combined Services and Ash Wednesday.

High School Praise Team - Sundays, 5:30 - 6:30pm

Youth Instrumental Ensemble - Sundays, 6:30 - 7:00pm

Middle School Praise Team - Sundays, 7:00 - 7:30pm

The Middle School Praise Team meets Sunday evenings during our program year from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., following Middle School youth group. Middle school musicians are learning to sing new praise & worship songs as well as gradually incorporating accompanying instruments such as guitar, piano, and African drums.

The Youth Instrumental Ensemble will meet on Sundays between HS & MS Praise Team rehearsals from 6:30-7:00pm.  Students of band or orchestral instruments from 6th grade through 12th grade are welcome to participate in a small instrumental ensemble that will share pieces a few times throughout the program year in worship services.

The High School Praise Team meets Sunday evenings during our program year from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m, before High School youth group.   These teens are using their voices and instruments to worship God and serve the congregation by learning new praise and worship songs and developing their musical skills in fellowship with each other.

Middle and high school singers will have opportunities throughout the year to join in a combined choir with our children and adult singers - the MPC Voices of Praise.
