Family Harvey Cedars: Each February, about 70 families and friends at MPC drive to Long Beach Island, NJ to a special place called Harvey Cedars Bible Conference Center for a weekend of spiritual growth, fellowship, games, and rest. It is a trip that many families look forward to every year. The accommodations at Harvey Cedars are spacious and restful. There will be worship, a speaker, and a children’s program. Our speaker will be Rev. Dr. Adetokunbo Adelekan, Associate Professor of Theology and Ethics at Palmer Theological Seminary and Pastor of Mount Olivet Baptist Church in Philadelphia. Snow Tubing: On Saturday, February 25th all 4th and 5th graders are invited to Bear Creek Mountain Ski Area for an afternoon of snow tubing! On that Saturday we will meet at the church by 9:30 am in the CHUMS room. Please have your child bring a packed lunch. An afternoon snack will be provided. My hope is to arrive at Bear Creek by 11am, have lunch and then head out to snow tube. Our tubing session is from 12:00 – 3:00 pm. The cost of the trip will be $30 per child. The child must be 42” tall and the liability form attached must be signed prior to our departure. The plan is to return to MPC around 4:30pm. Please RSVP as soon as possible, but at the latest by February 15th. Kingdom of the Choir Musical: Acorns to Oaks April 29th @ 12:30pm. This year our Children’s Kingdom Choir has the opportunity to share their love and voices with the elderly living at the Sterling Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center in Media. Following the combined 10am service, the children will meet downstairs in the CHUMS room where pizza will be provided. We will then walk over together and perform the Spring Play, Acorns to Oaks. Pick up will be in the CHUMS room at 2pm.
