Missions

    July 28-August 3, 2013.

Holston Presbytery Camp and Retreat Center is a place where people come to know Jesus, grow in their faith in Christ, and build Christian community.  We are excited to be doing God’s work in the vicinity of Banner Elk, NC for the first time.

Our goal has always been the same, to heed the call of God and to tangibly be the body of Christ.  We’re excited for another year of hard work, summer heat, long days, and lots of laughter and fun.  This annual mission trip is open to the entire church family.  We hope that you’ll join us.  We promise you’ll be thrilled that you did!

When I first arrived at MPC in January of 2008, it was my intention to stay for a couple years and then move back into the world of cross-cultural missions. It has been five years now, a reflection of my love and respect for you all, as well as a renewed faith, especially that God loves the world through His church.

I am very thankful for what God has done in our midst this year, and I am thankful for all of you who allowed yourselves to be His vehicles."

    Lasting Gifts

Media Presbyterian Church’s Alternative Giving Program leverages the impact of small financial donations to allow people to share the joy of making a difference in the lives of the less fortunate by meeting their practical and tangible needs. Since 2007, we have raised over $40,000 - primarily through donations of $5 - $50 from people of all ages.

People have embraced our program as a way to give lasting gifts to people who don’t want any more stuff and to those who will appreciate a gift that improves living conditions for neighbors around the world.

All gifts serve poor and marginalized children and people living in places where small donations can have a significant impact on their quality of life.

On sale in the church office or between Sunday worship services in Hassler Chapel.
