Daily Devotions for Lent 2012

Day 21

Tuesday, March 13, 2012

Submitted by Kathryn Belville, Elder

Heavenly Father, thank You for all You have given me. Increase my awareness of what that truly means. Clear my mind of distractions so that I may see Your plan for me with greater clarity. Help me to care less for things of this world and more for Your broken children both near and far. Help me be present in each moment, and see others with eyes that reflect Your love.

Scripture Reference:  Genesis 45: 1-16

Today’s Devotion

In disbelief we read about Joseph embracing his conniving brothers with complete and perfect forgiveness. How hard is it for us to forgive and forget?  If you end up on the right side of justice, is it easier? Think about Jesus, betrayed without cause throughout time, going to the cross with a heart full of compassion. For us. There is no greater testimony of God’s boundless love. For us.
